MSA Annual Arabian Night

Oakton’s Muslim Student Association is holding an annual fund-raising event this Friday with henna, performances, food and more. This annual event will be taking place in the cafeteria after school February 21st. Admission is $5 but all games, food, and activities will be free. Live performances vary from stand up comedy to spoken word poetry. Everyone is invited.

It will include performances by the Oakton Breakdancers, Bollywood Dance Group, and other local DMV performers.  Booths will be available for Arab countries to display their culture and for viewers to learn more through these booths. Some other activities will be available like Kahoot, free henna, and live performances from students all across the DMV. A buffet with foods from all around the middle east will be available for free.

Abrar Omeish, FCPS school board member, is expected to come and give a speech along with Emgage and others. Additionally, all funds raised from the event will benefit the MSA annual Muslim interscholastic tornament (MIST) spring trip.

All in all, it will be a night filled with fun, awareness, food and more! Come join MSA on their annual Arabian Night this friday!
