Who’s The Real King of The Fall?

In the fall time, record label October’s Very own Flourishes. Home to large R&B artists such as Drake, The Weeknd, and PARTYNEXTDOOR. All successful on their own, their million dollar contracts do not find much time to compete with each other. But with so much music releasing at once, listeners eventually have to pick an artist.

King of R&B Drake sits on a net worth spot of $100 million at only 30 years old. His hits Summer Sixteen and For Free dominated the airwaves for months on end. His music is very compassionate and relatable to teen audiences all around the world. Artist The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye), 26 has been making hits reeling in 30 million since just 2010.  The Weeknd recently just dropped 2 songs, Starboy and False Alarm and announced a fall tour.

On twitter I put one of the new features to use and created a poll. I asked students which artist they preferred to get real feedback from Oakton’s own.At first, The Weeknd over ruled greatly over Drake with numbers The Weeknd- 71%, Drake- 29%. But like predicted, Drake prevailed with the most amount of votes: Drake- 56%, The Weeknd 44%. Although close, Drake makes more flexible music, appealing to more types of people’s taste than The Weeknd.fullsizerender
