Is the new iPhone too xtra? Apple has taken the world by storm with the new iPhone X. Some people hate it, while others are  marking it on their calendars and are eager to get it. The new release shocked everyone with its ‘improved’ design, removing apple’s signature home button, maximized screen size, and the all-around glass casing. So what is the deal with the brand new and improved iphone? Is it really worth it?

The newest iPhone caused great controversy in the land of social media. It has caused a vast amount of conflict regarding quality and most of all, cost. Retailing for $1000 , it will cost more than any iphone previously manufactured. This is causing it to raise questions of whether it is really worth its cost. Consumers are concerned and shocked by some of the features. he  face recognition feature may be problematic, as our faces and emotions change every day, and it couldn’t possibly be able to recognize those changes so easily. Another problem proposed by the public is that due to it’s glass casing and it’s thin design it may be twice as fragile as  previous iPhones. Most of all, the new iPhone lost its original ‘flare’, with the completely new design and look, it is debated that this is apple’s way of converting into its rival, Samsung.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, consumers around the world believe this iPhone has  a brilliant new design and that it is a breakthrough for apple. Features such as the higher resolution camera, a bigger screen,, and  the wireless charging, are making apple users very excited to get in line for the new and improved iPhone. Other than the technical features, there are also some nifty improvements to the software, IOS. The most famous of them being the emoji feature, where with the use of face recognition you too can become an animated emoji. The software also offers new editing features for photos and videos along with a longer battery life, which we all need. This certainly is a step out of the comfort zones for many, but change can often be beneficial.

Apple never fails to amaze us with its crazy new features and improvements. As with every iphone, this is an improved version, whether it is attractive and practical or not is debatable. Ever since the release of the iPhone 8, lines have been forming outside of the apple store, with customers eager to get their hands on it. This shows that there may be an even bigger line for the iPhone x. Although this iPhone may be drastically different than all previous iPhones, it is a change I’m sure many will adapt to. We are all afraid of the unknown, but this could just be a huge breakthrough for apple.
