Terrorist attacks are becoming too common these days. In the recent past, there have been shootings in Las Vegas, California, and Texas. Just recently there was another act of terror in New York, but this one didn’t involve guns, it involved a truck. Specifically, an Uzbekistan man driving a truck onto the sidewalk and purposefully crashing into several people.

Terrorist acts became infamous in 2001, when probably one of the most deadliest acts of terror rained down upon America. Three airplanes were intentionally crashed into major US landmarks, killing just too many. It was determined that Osama Bin- Laden was responsible for this through the Al- Qaeda. In 2016, there was a mass shooting in Orlando, Florida, in which many people were killed again just like the Las Vegas shooting which killed around 60 people. The case in New York however, was different. A man, by the name of Sayfullo Saipov, drove a UHaul truck through a sidewalk killing eight people on bicycles. He then continued the onslaught until he crashed into a school bus. He got out of the vehicle and fired at police officers with a BB gun, but he was eventually shot by a police officer. After his apprehension, police officers recovered a pellet gun and a paintball gun from the truck. He was also heard yelling “Allahu Akbar”, while driving against traffic. A letter later confirmed that he was doing it for ISIS.

Terrorism is a big issue in America and has to be put to an end instantly. Many innocent lives are being taken by these shameless and foolish attacks and it has to be stopped instantly. This New York incident is just the most recent example of a series of ill- natured and malicious terror attacks on America. This is an issue that is imperative at the least and has to be resolved once and for all now!
