Winter is thriving and the temperature keeps dropping. Cougar Towne is brand new and most students have at least one class in the new trailers. We can all agree that going outside in the cold is miserable, but thanks to entrepreneurship we have two dollar hand-warmers in the spirit box to look forward too. Although a lot of students look at Cougar Towne negatively, entrepreneurship is making the best of it.

Entrepreneurship is a class dedicated to business and learning valuable skills to be applied in a job one day. Britney Jun (12)  shared what a typical day in entrepreneurship was like. “Usually we split into groups and each one has a different assignment. One group will be in charge of taking inventory on products, another will work on advertising the spirit box and other groups will try to find new potential products,” said Jun. When the idea of Cougar Towne was first starting up, a lot of people were not happy. This meant that they would have to move from their regular classroom to a trailer outside as well as braving the cold air on the way to and from their classes. The entrepreneurship class found a way to create a business opportunity over something not so desirable.

Around winter break the idea was pitched to put hand warmers in the spirit box. Now plenty of hand warmers are available in the spirit box for purchase. Many people have heard about the hand warmers and they can’t wait to buy some. “I heard about the hand warmers and I thought it was a great idea, I expect that a lot of people to get them especially now since it is getting colder,” said Tommy Mika (9).  The coldest part of winter is approaching and I don’t think i’m the only one who can’t wait for the warm weather. Thanks to entrepreneurship there is a nice way to keep your hands toasty warm even when you are outside. These hand warmers are an example of making the best out of a not so desirable situation. Make sure to stop buy the spirit box before you head off to Cougar Towne to pick up some cool new hand warmers!
