Pusheen is a female cartoon cat created by Claire Belton and Andrew Duff in 2010. Everyday their comics and drawings would get cuter. Pusheen has been a popular and cute character around the world. Pusheen’s appearance has gray fur and dark gray stripes on her back and tail and her breed is a gray tabby cat. Her birthday is on February 18th and her name stems from the word puisin, which means kitten in Irish. Her hobbies are blogging and sleeping which is something that we can all almost relate to.

Pusheen’s dream is to make friends all over the world. She has 3 close friends named Pugsheen the dog, Cheek the hamster, and Sloth the sloth. Pugsheen has appeared in only two pictures and in his appearance you will notice his light color fur, and dark brown snout and ears. Cheek the hamster has round rosey cheeks, tan light fur, and a round belly. Sloth has appeared with Pusheen the most and has been on Pusheen’s guide to being lazy, taking selfies, and creating fireworks.

Pusheen has a big family tree. Her father usually appears on Father’s Day pictures and cards. His appearance is a little similar to Pusheen’s. He has the same fur pattern as Pusheen but has a dark brown mustache. His favorite activities with Pusheen are flying kites and going fishing. Pusheens mother also has the same pattern as Pusheen, but her fur color is a creamy yellow and white cat, with light pink blush. She usually appears on Mother’s Day pictures and cards. Her favorite things are flowers, hugs, and breakfast in bed. Pip and stormy are Pusheens two younger siblings, Pusheen is the first child, stormy is the second child, and pip is the third child. Which makes him the youngest sibling. Pusheen has a husband cat named Tommy and they both have two children but their names are unknown.

Pusheen the cat has started as a internet star. And we all had a soft spot for the cute cartoon cat around the world. But why are so many fans attached to pusheen?  One of the reasons are, that she has a human-like personality that we can relate to, and can make us laugh with joy, brightening up our day. Pusheen says and thinks things that we often think or feel about our lives. She has gotten so popular over the years, that she now has a sticker collection, T-shirts, onesies, plushies, and other merchandise. Fans that love Pusheen are incredibly attached to the adorable cat and love her with a passion. Many fans describe her as a cat they can relate to. Many of us can relate to a chubby cat who just wants to stay at home and eat. So let’s face it, we all felt this way.

I think Pusheen can bring positivity to oakton. It is around our community of fairfax like the mall and the libraries and even some other stores. But sadly i don’t recognize anyone who is a fan of Pusheen and who shows it. But that doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen.
