Obi-Wan Kenobi is the newest Disney+ Star Wars series. Fans of Star Wars are optimistic about the quality of the show, as Disney’s first Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, was adored by fans, and their second, The Book of Boba Fett, was widely scorned. However many fans are hopeful that the series will do justice to the established character of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The show was revealed to a mild controversy centered around the physical appearance of The Grand Inquisitor, who shared little resemblance to the character’s animated origins.

Other than that small issue, fans are hopeful that the show will do justice to the fan favorite character. The show takes place in the 20 year time jump between episode III and IV, a period in the Star Wars universe that remains mostly unexplored in official media. The show will be centered around Obi-Wan Kenobi attempting to survive being hunted down by the Imperial Army while also protecting a young Luke Skywalker.
