The World Baseball Classic is an international tournament where some of the best baseball players in the world represent their home countries. Teams like the USA, Japan, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic all go head to head to compete for the title, uniting Major League Baseball stars on a Global Stage.

Team USA features standout players such as Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, Detroit Tigers pitcher Tarik Skubal, and New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge. Japan also has a stronger roster, including Dodgers player, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Cubs player, Seiya Suzuki. Shohei Ohtani, one of the most notable players in the tournament, is widely known for his excellence because of his innate ability to both pitch and hit at an elite level. Other strong teams in the tournament include the Dominican Republic and Venezuela; both of which have rosters filled with talented MLB players. The tournament is divided into four groups consisting of five different teams where only the top two from each group advance to the quarter-finals. Group stage games are the first to take place from March 5th through March 11th. Following right after is the quarter-finals, taking place on March 13th and 14th. Finally, the championship game will take place on the 17th of March to determine the ultimate winner of the World Baseball Classics.
These are the teams in each group: Group A consists of Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Panama, and Puerto Rico. In Group B, the teams are Brazil, Great Britain, Italy, Mexico, and the United States. Group C hosts Australia, China, Czechia, Japan, and Korea. Finally, Group D includes the Dominican Republic, Israel, Netherlands, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. These group stage games are played in different locations around the world. Group A games are held in San Juan Puerto Rico, with Group B games being held in Houston, Texas. Group C games are held in Tokyo, Japan and Group D games are being held in Miami, Florida. The quarter-final games will be played in both Miami, Florida and Houston, Texas. Both the semi-finals and final championship games will take place in Miami, Florida.
In each group, two teams advance to the quarter finals. In Group A, Columbia is predicted to finish first with Puerto Rico as the runner-up. In Group B, The United States is expected to win the group, with Mexico finishing second. In Group C, Japan is predicted to finish first with Korea advancing as the runner-up. In Group D, the Dominican Republic is predicted to win the group, with Venezuela finishing second. Throughout the quarter-finals, The United States is predicted to defeat Puerto Rico while Columbia would defeat Mexico. Similarly, the Dominican Republic is predicted to defeat Korea while Japan would beat Venezuela. This would create semifinal matchups of the United States versus Columbia and Japan versus the Dominican Republic. The prediction is that the United States and Japan would win their semifinal games, leading to a championship matchup between the two teams, where the United States is predicted to defeat Japan and take home the win to the World Baseball Classic.
