NCSA Junior Nationals is a swim meet that occurred from March 17 to 21 at YMCA International Aquatic Center in Orlando, Florida. Oakton had seven swimmers swim at the meet, including Michael Ambrose, Laura Branton, Megan Byrnes, Julia Capobianco, Nathan Pawlowicz, Michael Pettinichi and John Shebat. When asked about their favorite part about NCSA’s, Branton said, “My favorite part was definitely rooming with my best friend Julia Capobianco and buying five snow cones on the last day.” Byrnes had a different approach to her favorite part of NCSA’s. “My favorite part about NCSA’s is all the team cheers. It’s so much fun being behind the block and hearing all your teammates cheer you on,” said Byrnes.
