What’s Your Sign?
Is there a correlation between your zodiac sign and personality traits?
A study done at Semmelweis University in Budapest on October 18, 2014 has shown that the season in which you are born has an influence on certain monoamine neurotransmitters, such as dopamine and serotonin, which is detectable even in adult life,” researcher Xenia Gonda states. Depending on which month you are born in and the varying weather conditions, babies can be born with a variety of different character traits including the reason why spring babies may tend to be very positive. Long-lasting effects can occur such as frequent mood swings, as displayed in the majority of summer babies. Those born during fall were found to be significantly less depressed than winter babies, while winter babies were found to be less irritable than babies born in any other season.
Mark Hamilton, a social scientist at the University of Connecticut, conducted an experiment on the subject.
He believes that the connection can help people remember timing and patterns found in nature. During the experiment, his test subjects included 300 celebrities from different departments, including sports, English, and science. Patterns were found between birth month and personality traits, but results varied among individuals. Research shows that zodiac signs do, however, have a precise correlation with personality traits. Repeated trials need to be used to limit the possibility of human error, but with more experiments, the answer to this mystery can become clearer.
