This past August, three Americans; Spencer Stone, Anthony Sadler, and Alek Skarlatos, saved a train full of passengers by tackling and disarming a gunman. They have all been viewed as heroes since, and have even been awarded the Medal of Honor by the President.
After being seen as a hero, Skarlatos was invited to become a dancer on Dancing with the Stars. Thankfully, he agreed. Skarlatos was supposed to be attending Umpqua Community College, which just recently was attacked by a gunman. He had grown up in the area, and he was enrolled in classes. Skarlatos could have been in the exact same situation he was in back in August on the train, instead he was practicing for Dancing with the Stars.
Stone has also been through a lot recently. He was stabbed multiple times this past week outside a Sacramento nightclub. He is currently in fair condition, but will be undergoing a minor surgery to repair the three stab wounds. A group of men and women were walking until they ended up in an intersection where one of the men hit one of the women. Stone interfered, and tried to protect the woman, right before he got stabbed. It is still unknown who stabbed Stone.
There has been no recent news about Sadler.
