Snehal Srivastava, Staff Writer
As a new journalist and a senior, I’m hoping to broaden my horizons in writing and reporting by being a part of the Outlook team this year. My passions include dance; I’ve been dancing for almost 10 years and I’m currently aiming to get a Bachelor’s degree in Indian Classical Dance this May. I love to watch/read any news and am interning as a Tour Guide and Visitor Services Rep. at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Anything related to international/national affairs is my interest and I am the current President of the Model United Nations club at Oakton, as well as a Varsity Public Forum debater. I hope to stay in-state for college and I’m planning to major in journalism or international affairs. My bucket list includes going on a road trip across the states, performing/choreographing a Michael Jackson inspired dance, and visiting Spain and South Korea. In my free time, I like to listen to music and catch up on news. As a rookie reporter, I hope to be able to relay stories related to global and local events as well as inform the Oakton community of club events and activities!
