After three years of no new music, Mumford and Sons, the popular British folk band, has released a brand new song. The song, titled “Believe,” is from their new upcoming album “Wilder Minds.” The full album is set to come out on May 4, but dedicated fans can preorder it now.

For those who have been following the band since their debut album “Sigh No More” (2009), this song is a bit of a departure from their traditional, earthy sound. The tune replaces quirky banjo solos with a soft alternative beat and electric guitar. Marcus Mumford’s excellent vocals remain an integral part of the band’s new sound, reminding fans how truly talented he is.

While this song may or may not be reflective of the entire album, we at the Oakton Outlook have thoroughly enjoyed this first single of many to come. For Mumford and Son’s third studio album we expect an interesting exploration of sound, as the band continues to grow and develop. For now, the “Babel” vinyls will remain out of their sleeves while we wait for the rest of this highly anticipated album.
