Oakton sweeps Chantilly

Oakton+sweeps+Chantilly

Friday night, Oakton Cougars took on rivals Chantilly Chargers. This season, the girls team is currently 5-1 and the boys team is 4-2. Going into the meet, Cougar boys were eager to win after falling to Patriot High School last week and Robinson High School before winter break. This week the boys had a full team with nobody missing. They went in with a thirst for a win.

Oakton Swim and Dive, led by head coach Parker Ramsdell has had much success in the past. The lady Cougars have won states three years in and row and last year were first runner-ups only losing by two points to Langley. Last year, the boys team won districts, regionals, and states. Friday night the Cougars continued their way to states with both the boys and girls teams beating Chantilly.

With districts coming up on January 29th and 30th, the Cougars are hoping for better luck than last year. Last year, the Cougars did not win. But this year they are confident that they can pull out a win and continue winning all the way to states. In a couple weeks the Cougars have regionals and states which they are hoping to win and recover from last year.
