Justin Timberlake’s vision was clearer than ever with his tour for his world-famous album, “The 20/20 Experience.” His return to music, after taking time off to pursue his acting career, could not have been more successful. With a top charting album, Timberlake’s concert provided top-notch entertainment, visually and musically. Whether or not you listen to his music, you are in for a treat with this summer spectacle.
Performing as JT and The Tennessee Kids, the tour brought in a bit of jazz, pop, soul and rock music to the Baltimore Arena. It is impressive that Timberlake can sing just as well, if not better, live than on his records. With over 20 songs performed, not only did Timberlake include songs from the current album, but he also sang his old hits, such as the widely loved “My Love” and “Cry Me a River.” His background dancers and band helped to elevate the excitement as they danced and charmed the audience with hits like, “Like I Love You” and “Lovestoned.”
Through his personal touches and engaging interaction with the crowd, the night brought a great deal of dancing, drinking, and singing along. His shout-out to Baltimore for being the home to one of the Tennessee Kids pumped up the crowd to even further surprise them with the mind-blowing stage that moved from the front to the back of the stadium in the song “Let the Groove In.” The entire stadium was able to get a great view of Timberlake’s performance.
By covering songs by Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake showed the roots of his musical inspiration to the crowd as well. The superstar partied hard and never let his fans experience a dull moment. Closing with “Sexy Back” and “Mirrors”, Timberlake mesmerized the crowd with his larger than life performance and undeniable persona.
By the end of this concert, it is clear that Justin Timberlake definitely brought sexy back.
