The summer transfer window is a time for teams across the globe to strengthen their squads and improve in positions in which they are lacking. Since it’s the beginning of the window still, many transfers are still up in the air as of now. So far there have been 3 massive transfers and 2 more that are on the brink of being completed.

Confirmed:

  1. Davy Klaassen to Everton. The 24 year old Dutch midfielder joined Everton this week for a fee of 23.6 million pounds. Klaassen, formerly the captain of Dutch side Ajax is a box to box midfielder that has proven to be a producing player both on the club and international level. Klaassen signed a 3 year deal that surely will see him fit right into the starting lineup in midfield along side new signing Gylfi Sigurdsson and Idrissa Gueye. This is a midfield that should strike fear into the eyes of opponents with both their firepower going forward and backtracking. Klaassen will add a much needed presence in the midfield and is sure to step up big for the Blues this upcoming season.
  2. Ederson Moraes to Manchester City. The 23 year old Brazilian keeper joined Manchester City this week for a price of 35 million pounds. This fee makes Ederson the second most expensive keeper of all time. Ederson broke into the Benfica starting 11 earlier this year and was the first choice keeper for the majority of this season. Ederson fits right into the Man City starting lineup that had a solid defense but experienced issues with their goalkeepers all season long. The young Brazilian already is a world class keeper and has an immense amount of potential that he is yet to fill. After signing a 5 year deal with Man City, Ederson will be with the side for many years to come.
  3. Jordan Pickford to Everton. Pickford is a 23 year old keeper that joined the Blues also this week for a fee of 25 million pounds. This makes Pickford the most expensive British goalie in history. Pickford has already two year of starting experience with his former club Sunderland over the past two years. Pickford almost single handedly helped fight to keep Sunderland in the premier league but fell just short. Pickford lead the Premier league with most saves per game on average (4.7). The young British keeper will fit right into Evertons starting lineup which will help to boost a struggling defense last from last season. Pickford’s deal is a 5 year long contract which will keep the young keeper in Goodison for years to come now.

Rumored:

  1. Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City. Alexis Sanchez is one of the most elite strikers not just in the premier league, but in world football as a whole. The rumored fee for Sanchez is upwards of 80 million pounds which would be in the top 5 most expensive transfers ever. Sanchez would help boost an already incredibly talented attacking lineup that would surely see Man City push for the league title and possibly make a deep run in the Champions League. This would by far be the most game changing transfer of the year and would shake up the premier league completely.
  2. Mohamed Salah to Liverpool. Salah is one of the most interesting potential transfer of the window. The pacey Egyptian winger is one of the fastest in world football and would take Liverpool’s attack to an unprecedented level. Salah would slot right in on the right wing and would completely change Liverpool’s front three. This is another transfer that is rumored to be over 40 million pounds and yet again would completely change the complexion of the Premier League as is right now. These are all transfers that will/could change the way the Premier League season will shake out next year.
