Fall Season Upcoming Concerts in DC

As the leaves begin to shed and the weather begins to cool, the abundance of artists never fails to swiftly pass by the city of Washington D.C. From the 9:30 Club to the Filmore Silver Spring in Maryland, check out this highlight of music stopping by our area at your pleasure:

Friday October 12th @ The Anthem – Lil Pump

Known for his rambunctious lyrics and the ever-so infectious bop “Gucci Gang”, you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t turn up to his show at The Anthem. If you’re a little bit on edge as to what he has to offer and the fun level of the show, just check out the title of the tour itself: The Harvard Dropout Tour. Nothing but enjoyable, bordering on humor.

Tuesday 16th October @ The Anthem – BROCKHAMPTON

Breaking away from their controversial months prior to this show, BROCKHAMPTON I’ll Be There is certainly a show not to be missed. BROCKHAMPTON is a hip hop collective composed of 14 members, all formed from the realms of the internet (more specifically an online forum named KanyeToThe). Coming off their recent album release IRIDESCENCE, the tour will most likely be exploring their experiences over the past months of almost-pure silence from the internet boyband themselves.

Wednesday 24th October @ 9:30 Club – Hippo Campus

In need a getaway from your noisy life? Well, don’t fret, as Hippo Campus will be that band for you. Their newest album Bambi is an intricate look into new horizons, the feeling of nonchalance and anxiety as referenced in their actual song, “Anxious”, and so forth. As mentioned by many others, the band has a relatively passionate fanbase, but don’t let that deter you from checking out their concert. It is one, for sure, to remember.

Wednesday 31st October @ Capital One Arena – Twenty One Pilots feat. AWOLNATION

Middle school you need not worry, for Twenty One Pilots are back in full force with their latest release, Trench. Moreover, joined with them are our 2011 favorite alternative-rock group AWOLNATION in action. Their shows are always known for being a wild time spurring countless of fans selling out arenas which goes to show how much of a powerhouse they are as a duo. Make sure to get your tickets ASAP though, before they sell out!

Thursday 8th November @ Warner Theatre – Toto

Believe me, you won’t be so tired listening to “Africa” over and over again on the radio or on your laptop, if you see them live. Toto is an American rock band formed in 1976, and they will most definitely not let you forget that. From “Rosanna” to “Hold The Line”, you will be doing yourself a favor by nabbing a ticket for this upcoming show.

Thursday 15th November @ The Filmore Silver Spring – Mayday Parade

It wasn’t so long ago when the band was touring around the state of Florida, selling out their CD’s to bystanders and casual listeners at a parking lot during the Vans’ Warped Tour. Now here they are, travelling the country and the world, making use of their opportunity to showcase their passion. Make sure to see the band live now at the Filmore Silver Spring in lieu of their recent album Sunnyland, out now.

There are a variety of artists spanning different genres of music coming down to this area, so this list is not aplenty, however, it will give you a good mixture of music that you probably may have heard. As this is the case, make sure to choose wisely and get your tickets as soon as possible (depending on the demand of the artist) before they sell out. Have a happy concert season!
